Notes - Mr. Rafield Lawrence Slay, Jr., 52, of Biloxi, MS, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Biloxi. Mr. Slay was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi and a 1973 graduate of Biloxi High School where he starred in football. He attended North East University of Louisiana and Perkinston, both on football scholarships. He was preceded in death by his father, Rafield Lawrence Slay, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Slay; two daughters, Frances Alisha Johnson and Rachalle Lauren Slay; his mother, Betty Barker Slay Polite; two sisters, Karen Slay Sullivan and Robin Slay Spratley; his brother, Grey Slay; aunt, Kay Barker McGhee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 25 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 6 p.m. until service time. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com.
